Dabba Dash.
Deliver the dabba. Mind the local train.
Play itA monsoon courier run through a vertical Neo-Mumbai, flown in a hover auto-rickshaw.
The starting point
Mumbai’s dabbawalas carry lunches across the city every day and are famous for almost never getting one wrong. I wanted to give that job a future: Neo-Mumbai in 2099, in the monsoon, the towers stacked so high the streets have become canyons, and the dabba riding in a hover auto-rickshaw.
What I built
An endless courier game for the browser, built for the phone first. The whole route grows from a single number, so the same seed always gives the same city: chawls strung with laundry, Dharavi’s gullies, a floodlit night match on a maidan, the Queen’s Necklace, the Sea Link in a storm. You weave through stacked lanes of flying traffic, drift down side streets, and dodge Sky Patrol and VIP convoys to get the tiffin there in thirty seconds.
In practice
It’s playable now, on a phone or a desktop. It’s also a living project: every build gets played on a phone, and the controls, the camera and the pacing keep getting tuned. It’s the first slice of a much bigger Neo-Mumbai.

Read the notes
- No. 06The voice of the city
How Dabba Dash talks: English first with Hindi as an accent, 340 invented shop names, a traffic desk with opinions, and a trip sheet that prints out when you lose.
- No. 05The details nobody notices
The small decisions behind a game city: why the camera breathes, why a dodge never turns you, and why the power goes out when you hit the wires.
